SOS Domestic Abuse Projects that provides frontline support to victims of domestic abuse in Southend-on-Sea.
A poster campaign to raise awareness of the charity's services.
The ways a victim could make contact with the charity needed to be very clear and had to encourage them to believe that they need not suffer in silence and that someone was there to help them.
The poster was strategically positioned in locations around the local area where women could note the details in privacy. It was also translated into the different languages known to be spoken in the area.
Since Jon's poster campaign has been up, we have definitely seen an increase in people contacting our service. Some women have taken our details directly from the posters which is excellent.
The 'Break the Cycle' campaign has also been a success and enabled us to reach out to younger people who need help.

Logo design for 'Break the Cycle'
The 'Break the Cycle' initiative was started to help younger people identify unhealthy behaviour in relationships. It is a form of abuse and often progressively gets worse.
The campaign needed to speak to this demographic and call out some common abusive behaviour that can occur among this age group. The charity wanted to convey that this is not acceptable behaviour and that they could help.
